It’s one of the more popular questions on the Internet and rightfully so. After all, who would want to spend their hard-earned bucks on a seemingly legit Windows 10 code, for example, to find out that their copy is actually pirated and illegal shortly after?
Additionally, when you buy Windows keys on marketplaces, you don’t buy them from Microsoft. Another question pops up here: are these legitimate sellers or nah?
So, let’s talk about g2a here. Are the sellers on this platform legit? The marketplace certainly does a good job when it comes to ensuring the security of both buyers and sellers. As far as the latter are concerned, there is a rather strict verification procedure that they have to go through, especially if they want to sell larger quantities of products of all sorts on g2a. So, if you want to drastically increase your revenue and sell physical products in addition to digital ones, you need to complete the so-called business verification where you need to provide all sorts of documents and details about yourself and your company.
Forging all that would certainly take a LOT of time, so I highly doubt anyone willing to pull off some scams there would want to go through such painfully thorough procedures. That’s how g2a ensures that all sellers on the platform are legitimate. Now, I’m not saying that there won’t be any scammers. There might be some “lucky” ones that’ll cheat a person or two, but they will most likely be dealt with shortly after.
Coming back to Windows keys on g2a, you can surely buy them on this marketplace. Are they legit, though?
I found a post on reddit coming from a g2a rep saying that in order to sell Windows keys on g2a, you need to:
- complete business verification,
- have the best possible ratings from buyers and excellent selling results for at least several months in a row,
- provide invoices to prove the source of the keys you want to sell.
G2A also performs additional checks after a Microsoft product is sold on the marketplace.
I have also found Microsoft on the list of g2a’s partners on g2a’s corporate site.
There’s even an entire article about g2a and MS teaming up to utilize Microsoft’s Azure to increase security on g2a.com.
So, taking all the above into consideration I can safely say that the keys for Windows 10 g2a has listed on their platform are all legit. They come from verified sellers with impeccable performance on the marketplace that have met strict criteria (I wrote more about key and seller verification here, here and here – Microsoft product keys are of course much more scrutinized).
Still, make sure that you read the product descriptions thoroughly in order to ensure that you’re buying the right key for the right region and the like to avoid any activation issues. Hope this helps!
