If you’re interested in my opinion on G2A Reddit opinions, well, they’re a mixed bag, just like every other discussion forum. Not every opinion is reliable, and not every piece of advice is safe to follow.
On the one hand, you’ve got plenty of people who recommend the deals on g2a, encourage others to buy digital products like games or software there, because they think they’re really good discounts, etc. There’s a bunch of good opinions on g2a from time to time, folks just share their positive experiences with the site or simply state that they bought something on this marketplace.
There’s obviously a bunch of threads where redditors post deals and similar info without any comments.
And then there are the negatives. Look, I understand the posts where users complain about bugs, failed transactions, poor customer service and so on. This is absolutely normal and understandable, and in some cases justified (although it’s sometimes better to just contact a seller and work things out rather than unleash your wrath on reddit).
However, in many cases when something positive about g2a is posted, negative comments suddenly crop up. Too bad they’re just repeating myths that have been debunked like millions of times, such as “g2a is worse than piracy,” “g2a hurts devs” and so on. There are people who think keys on g2a are fake, that the platform doesn’t care who sells their stuff on it, and so on.
As such, you need to be careful reading such posts and approach them with a healthy dose of rational thinking. And if someone’s spitting “facts” (i.e. misinformation and stuff that’s already been proven false), I think it’s best if you don’t take them at face value. Instead, it’s better to dig deeper and ask around to find out what the actual truth is.
By the way, there’s an official subreddit of g2a: r/g2a. Used to be a place where people came for support, now it’s mostly a place where people discuss gaming-related things and post memes.
