Are opinions about g2a on Trustpilot trustworthy? As with every review site, the opinions found on Trustpilot and similar sites should be taken with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to negatives.
Why? Let’s take a look.
For starters, here are g2a’s general ratings on Trustpilot (as of December 2021): an average rating of 3.3/5 (since Trustpilot considers ratings of 1 and 2 negative, it is safe to assume that 3 is an average/neutral rating) and 280,434 reviews in total. G2a usually responds within 2 days and have replied to 98% of the negative reviews.
I took a look at some of these negatives and from what I’ve seen, people mostly complain about the games they purchased not working or some other issues with their orders, and blame g2a for that.
Listen up, folks: g2a doesn’t sell anything! You buy stuff from sellers and if there’s a problem with what you bought from them, you should contact these people instead. If they don’t want to help you, then g2a’s support will. And instead of going to Trustpilot and slamming g2a for some technical issues with a game you should actually go to g2a.com and give the actual seller a negative review so that they are forced to do something to help you.
There are of course reviews that mention technical difficulties related to the website itself, and that’s fair, I suppose. I don’t want to discredit unsatisfied customers here, because hey, we all know bugs and problems with your order or payments are a pain in the butt.
Then again, it’s kind of a rule now that if a customer is satisfied, they just quietly go about their business. If someone’s unsatisfied instead, they often voice their concerns and opinions on the Internet. G2a says that 99% or so of their transactions are successful. If a company encourages people to leave their reviews on TP, this means there’s a lot of good things about them and the same applies to g2a. It’s just weird I don’t see any Trustpilot mentions on their website anymore, since this gave their profile a lot of positive traction.
Like I said, judging by a large number of the reviews on g2a’s trustpilot profile, the issues mentioned are usually with the purchases and not the site/company itself. The bottom line is: pick the sellers with the best ratings and you should totally be satisfied.
